I’m only 50 pages in and already I’ve been on a crazy emotional rollercoaster. Reading this book as a sophomore in college is both inspiring and terrifying. Life is so short, and this book is really igniting a kinship i feel for all the other people in my life, especially those who are much older than me.

Additionally, this book reminds me SO MUCH of one of my all time favorites: The Darker the Night, the Brighter the Stars, by Paul Broks, which has a very similar premise (neuropsychologist’s wife dies and inspires him to search for the answer about what a soul is, from both a scientific and spiritual perspective) although Brok’s book did come out 2 years after this one.

idk man, I might have to delve back into some existentialist literature after this one. I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on a copy of this book!!!
