This was just fine, the writing is great, however i was confused at times. Its just a novella so im not expecting a full story, but i still felt like there was some things missing. The characters were fine, nothing that stands out massively.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. However i do not really care that much for the characters. I thoroughly enjoy the plot and im really excited to see where this goes. I however love all of the relationships between the characters, that aspect is written so well. Cassandras’ writing is so immersive and good.

This is my second time reading this book. However my reading taste has changed so much since reading it for the first time in 2021. I barely remember anything from then, only the simple premise of the book, and that this was the first book ive ever read where i wanted to underline pretty writing. I also did not enjoy it, I found it so slow and boring and im not even sure i finished it.
However on a reread this was beautiful. Im so appreciative of the writing in this. Its so incredibly beautiful. I annotated this book so much - there are so much underlining and i love it.
I love all the characters in this, even Luc. I also found it really fun to se actual historical people throughout this, it really brought the story to life.
When it comes to the actual story it was thuroghly enjoyable. I loved the beginning and was really engaged through that, however the middle dragged a bit for me, but it was still great. The ending was heartbreaking, however it made so much sense to the story.
I genuinely would love to see a sequel to this, I feel like there are loads more stuff that could be done in this world and with Addies character.
