it was solid overall, but it didn't hit my expectations with the setup

I don't understand how Everly can take full credit for all of the adult relationships in her life. She's been meddling and trying to help all the couples get together but from her perspective it was entirely on her which is not true. They are all adults who made their own choices. Idk am I reading too much into it?
