Read this for a book club, and struggled quite a bit to empathize fully with Corby. The way he was written made him come across as annoying and self-pitying, which made it hard to root for him 100%. I was not fully expecting the ending and found it heartbreaking. Wally Lamb came highly recommended as an author so maybe I need to read other books to get a better grip of his writing style because I didn't enjoy it as much in this one.

This book is if It and Stranger Things had a cousin. I was surprised at how much it filled me with dread. One of the creepier YA horror novels I've read in awhile (I was actually scared to use my bathroom in the middle of the night đ).
