Along with reading, I’m listening to the audiobook. Why does Nolan sound like he’s narrating a noir mystery film? 😆 I keep picturing him in black and white, on a dock, staring out into the water with just his eyes illuminated. Of course that imagery could be shattered since it was the first paragraph of ch. 2. 🤣

i know it took me like 3 weeks to read this but in hindsight i feel like this was a fast paced book.
the resolution was like one chapter at the end (and that’s probably how most books go) but i don’t know i just didn’t feel complete. maybe the characters needed more backstories.

i didn’t know this was set in the past and present. i kind of usually stray away from books like that because they tend to leave me hanging for what is happening in the present. i’ll keep reading it to see if i enjoy it more.

i just wish the title of the book matched the contents. most of the book’s meat came from the chapters told in the past but the book was called The Farewell Tour and those chapters were in the present. it was good other than that.

for a book called “The Farewell Tour” the chapters about the actual farewell tour are so short.
