Thank you to @harpervoyagerus @avonbooks and @Netgalley for the chance to review this ARC.
Read this book if you like Olympic figure skating, sports romance, forbidden romance.
Four years ago Quinn Albright thought her skating career was over when she fell and failed to medal at the Olympics. But after hitting rock bottom, she made some changes, fired her coach, and started a comeback. Now she’s a gold medal favorite as the Milan games approach. It’s no surprise that a popular sports channel wants to make a one hour special about her journey. What is a surprise is the host—Bennett Martino—former speed skating champion and the man who broke her heart four years ago. Now they’ll be forced to spend weeks together as he interviews her. Has he changed enough that she can open her heart again?
I’m a bit of an Olympic junkie so I loved the setting of this book. I loved that it takes place right before and during this upcoming Games. Quinn was such a strong confidant woman and I loved her story ARC. Bennett’s character was a little harder for me to like because he was the kind of guy that is charming and knows it. But as he opened up and revealed his insecurities I liked him more. I thought their love story was beautiful.
The plot was fairly straightforward and I loved all the side characters. If you love the Olympics or sports romance, you’ll enjoy this one.
