Adding Gemma to my list of favorite authors and auto-buy authors.
I am in love with the way Gemma writes. I can see and feel everything I'm reading. The pacing and structure with the multiple POVs is absolute perfection. This really is a work of art the way Gemma has pieced this story together. The story is unique and draws you in immediately. I would have, without a doubt, read this book in one sitting if I didn't have to stop to go to work. It's actually painful to stop once you start because it's unnatural to interrupt the flow of Gemma's writing.
I will be waiting SO patiently for more from Gemma.
Gemma, thank you for believing in yourself and your work and busting your ass to release this book to the world. And thank you for choosing me as one of your ARC readers. ♡

FUCK. I felt this in my soul. I would have cried more than twice if I wasn't so dehydrated.

Personally, I read to escape the real world - I pretty much refuse to read anything too heavy or heartbreaking! I suffer with terrible anxiety and OCD, so reading silly or happy books helps me cope.
Do you guys do the same or do you like books with heavy subjects?
