Such a strong start! The initial chapters had me cracking. The plot was interesting and cute. However, the FMC could be quite frustrating. She was always worried about being hurt, making it look as if her last partner was toxic but in reality she just felt guilty for what she was about to do. She literally made it look like as if her fiancé left her on purpose — where she got the fear abandonment from, why she felt fear of being hurt. and honestly, it got boring around the 60% mark. I find her unreasonable during some scenes that it had me stressing for real. I think it would have been better if this was a slow burn instead. Nonetheless, it was cute at first. I really liked how the intro went.

TENSION, TWISTS, TENSION, and MORE TWISTS! I’m shocked this book isn’t hyped enough.
Along with the romantasy side, this had the perfect level of dark in it. They were ruthless and cunning, and served each other the perfect retaliation back and forth. The FMC didn’t cower. She was a diva, totally fierce and likable. The MMC on the other hand? HE JUST EARNED A SPOT IN MY BOOK BOYFRIENDS LIST. He embodied similar energy as of Cardan. That mix of disdain and desire, he totally had me squealing. The only reason I deducted half a star is because I had to reread a few parts to fully grasp what happened.
Overall, the games, the war, the tension, and the spice had me spamming messages and reactions to my friend at 2 AM — it was that incredible! Truly engaging! And as someone who likes to dnf boring books, I can attest that this is a must-read, especially for those who love faes, slow-burn romance, yearning, and playful revenges.

THAT ENDING? The letter? A perfect touch! This installment kept my interest more than the previous books in this trilogy. I appreciated the dramatic interactions among the characters entangled in the love triangle with Tella. It was entertaining to watch it unfold, and some parts even made me a bit sad.
What I didn’t like here is that similar with the other two installments, the story dragged around 60% to 80%. The way the main antagonist was killed felt underwhelming. It felt rushed, I would have preferred a more elaborate resolution. Nonetheless, following the characters in this series was enjoyable and I liked how their relationships progressed

THAT WAS INTENSE! The plot was so so good, it had me on the edge of my seat. It had all the craziest things you could imagine - a DARK mafia book indeed. So, make sure to check all the trigger warnings before you dive into this.
