This is one of my favorite books. Kidder hides no details in the imperfect world of Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. You will find yourself crying about a man who has done horrific things but somehow experienced much worse. Then in bouts of hopelessness you will revive yourself with the fact that there are people helping. Be a helper. Have pre-admiration. Read this book!
