So, this concept was really interesting! Food evokes such strong emotions in people, and is connected so strongly to memories that I think it makes sense, in the way that these sorts of novels work. However, I’m not sure if I fully buy it (and I know that I really shouldn’t have to, and should just suspend my disbelief), because 1) how are these two living, there’s no real money coming in it seems like, and it’s theoretically just a random man asking weirdly suspicious questions about total strangers to total strangers?? I don’t really think that would be ok? I’d probably be more creeped out than crying over the food.
I also wish the stories interconnected more in someway. There were occasional hints, I think, but I really wish they would have come together just a little more. The food did sound realll good though.
