This series has been on my tbr for a WHILEEEE and I'm so glad I finally picked it up. Obssessed is an understatement! Maverick and Emerson absolutely stole my heart. Hands down my favorite book couple 🤩 Emerson Hartwell is resilient, talented and holds her own like no other. She's such a badass & I loved the representation of a woman playing in the NHL. Maverick is a reformed playboy with so many layers to him. He's honestly the perfect book boyfriend and I found myself swooning more times than I care to admit. Their banter was top-tier & I loved how their relationship unfolded naturally. I adored the found family element. The team dinners and the way the team interacted was so heartwarming! I can't wait to read the rest of the series 🤭 This is book #1 in the D.C. Stars series.
