5 falling stars for this book! This is my first Jill Shalvis book and it definitely won't be my last. I found my new favorite book family: The Colburn 🤍

Caleb and Emma are longtime college rivals and years later, they find themselves working together on a restoration project. Rivals turned workplace frenemies leads to amazing chemistry between these two. Emma is such a badass. I loved how she carried herself despite everything she was going through. Caleb is so sweet and swoon-worthy. I love how protective he was over Emma. The way they took care of each other and helped each other heal made me so happy. The slow burn was perfect and soooo worth the wait. Let's not forget about the Colburn siblings, their banter was everything. I absolutely adore their dynamic and I can't wait to read their books. I am a bit disappointed that I don't know who was causing all that trouble but hopefully that will be revealed 🤫

If you like protective heros, small-town romances, slow-burn and great banter... give this a try. This book will have you laughing, swooning and rooting for their relationship 😍 This is book 2 but it can be read as a standalone.
