this one clawed at my heart in a way i didn't think was possible. i listened to a lot of the audiobook for this (at my desk at work shush!) and found myself staring into the middle distance. I adore Savannah. I adore Ava. I adore both of their stories. In the same breath, I don't think they are always perfect or wholly likable, but I don't think they need to be.
if I weren't in my place of work whilst reading this, I would have been sobbing, clutching this book to my chest. I fear this one has fundamentally changed me.

god this book was so authentically teenage and messy, trying to work out feelings and different types of love - how they differ and how they are the same
it was an experience that really resonated with me đ„č i adored how teenage girlhood was depicted here. gosh, what a novel
