okay at this point, it's time for me to admit i'm very confused what's going on 😭😭😭 i'm just assuming it's a non-linear, stream of consciousness type of writing...which is interesting. i really thought i was too dumb for this since nobody is as confused as me in the forums, until i saw some mention about it in the reviews

i’m not sure what to title this post, but as the movie comes out Friday, i’m wondering if i should try to read the book before Friday when i see the movie. i really don’t want to be spoiled, but i’m also reading 2 other books and have 2 more for book clubs i’m going to start reading soon, so i don’t want to be overwhelmed. how long is the book, and is it easy to read? how do you guys feel about the plot? i am a fast reader (when i am fully focused i can read ≈100 pages an hour) so it wouldn’t be difficult for me, but i am really just looking for anyone’s thoughts.

Reading the audiobook version of this and I just finished Chapter 1. Enjoyed the intro because the narrator gave so much personality to the protagonist when he was just introduced to me. I also love how well every single feeling and every scene occuring is narrated and described, which helps me paint the scene easier in my head. The streets were right... Reading this as an audiobook is the best way to consume this.

this was cute, but most of the time, i was very confused about what was going on. i only got to enjoy it when they started getting more poetic and flirty in their letters and they're close to getting caught. but overall, this was just alright for me

Rather than seek out another fix-all app, we should be honest with ourselves about the reality that this very model fails to meet the needs of most independent artists and listeners, and grapple with the complexity of that.
a very comprehensive book about spotify, with all topics covered, from it's history up to current issues involving artists getting paid in the platform and the heavy use of AI in the app. i learned so much from reading this
