Raksh is most probably short for Rakshasa = a type of malevolent demon or fiend entity from Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Indonesian Folk Islam (admittedly this list is from wikipedia) folklore. so naturally they feature a lot in Indonesian folk stories.

that's funny. and i can't believe i'm getting cultural references and tidbits here (like Srivijaya too) i did not expect that ahaha even tho it does make sense, everything really intertwined in this era from West Asia to South Asia and Southeast Asia, particularly Nusantara, the archipelago of where Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia are now.
