I tried to fight, soldiers, but I fell for the blonde man.
I would say I enjoy this just as much as the previous book, however; I liked Jackson as a lead more than Aiden. I like Aiden, don’t get me wrong, but Jackson’s personality spoke to me more. And it was funny seeing Aiden be comedic relief in this story.
I love Delilah too. I also liked the note in the acknowledgments about how Borrison wanted her to be unapologetically whimsical, because she definitely was, and it was really nice. Especially to see that kind of personality be positive and unrestrained.
Overall, it’s a cute romance that ticks all my boxes to make it comfortable, sweet, and entertaining. I am craving Swedish fish a little though.
I (24F) keep bothering the book community (Omnipotent) every Friday because it brings me joy. A few weeks ago, I asked for clickbait titles, and it was so much fun. This time I’m requesting something of a similar vein, that you may have worked out by now;
Can you create an ‘Am I the Asshole?’ (Or AITA) Reddit post-style title for a book/character of your choice?
Here’s mine;
AITA for abandoning my hubris son because he’s so f*cking ugly? - Frankenstein

Growling. Unchecked aggression. Claiming ‘territory’. I’m grabbing him by the scruff of his neck since he’s out here acting like a dog.
Yesterday I posted asking everyone what their book cover icks were so now I’m curious to know what your character icks are? Something that a character might do or say that makes you physically cringe (sometimes even put the book down)
For me, if there’s a romance in the book and one of the characters says “you’re mine” I will automatically put the book down, maybe not DNF at that moment, but I hate it. It’s always giving me a vibe of considering the person to be their property
