Me, whenever Curtis Barrett (AKA Troy’s father) appears: 🤨🖕🏽🖕🏽🖕🏽

I mistakenly assumed that “The Long Game” was happening in tandem with the events of “Role Model,” so it kinda threw me off when I found out that Troy Barrett finally joins the Ottawa Centaurs by Chapter 17… 👀😶

One of the changes from the book that I absolutely loved in the “Heated Rivalry” series adaptation, is that they gave Svetlana a more significant role by being Ilya’s former-FWB-turned-best-friend, whereas in the book she’s just a one-off character. (Also, book Ilya has no one else to confide in aside from Shane, which makes it even sadder. 🥺)

I do wonder how Jacob Tierney will handle her presence in Season 2, especially since it’ll be covering “The Long Game.” 🤔

I’m glad Ilya decided to go to therapy as soon as he realized he needed help.

And I’m also super glad that he found a therapist who’s not only Russian like him, but also speaks to him in his native language and is acutely aware of the stigmas surrounding mental health and queerness in Russian society.

Adding Dr. Galina Molchalina to my list of favorite side characters in the Game Changers universe. 🙌🏽❤️

He’d already met the love of his life, and he was head over heels, and he couldn’t tell anyone and it fucking sucked.

This sentence alone encapsulates the “norm” that (closeted) queer and trans people have to go through, especially in a heteronormative society.

Certain people in society have conditioned us to believe that love is only between a man and a woman, that there are only two genders, and that there are specific roles expected of men and women.

Ugghhh, I HATE Commissioner Crowell. 😤 Everything about him practically screams bigotry!

He’s up there with Dallas Kent as one of the biggest villains in the Game Changers-verse.

I ain’t forget how he attempted to intimidate Troy via phone call back in “Role Model.” 🤨

I love Yuna and Ilya’s relationship so much! 🥹🫶🏽 She really became his second mom… 😭❤️‍🩹
