    Thoughts from 40% (page 154)

“-and as Ma always says, when men worry about the future the gods laugh.” Honestly this is such good advice that I’m going to take from this book. Mercy is so positive in her life and encourages me to do the same.

  • Looking back at 2025

I know we still have 5 weeks left of 2025 but I was thinking about all the books I’ve read this year and was wondering about which book was my favourite and which I was surprised by. And I thought, rather than just asking myself these questions we could all get involved and maybe find some new reads for 2026.

    1. Which was your favourite book of the year?
    2. Which one surprised you (for better or worse)
    3. Which would you like to re-read?
    4. What genre would you like to read more of next year?

Feel free to answer them all or just pick one or two, I’ll put my answers below 😊

    1. Jane Eyre, I haven’t read it in years and it was so much fun getting to rediscover it
    2. I was so pleasantly surprised by ‘drawn together’ I read it in one day and absolutely fell in love with the characters and the storyline
    3. I’d like to re-read cranford as I kind of rushed in and probably didn’t appreciate the story as much as I should have.
    4. I’d always like to explore more classics but I’d like to read more mysteries I felt as if I abandoned that genre this year

  • Anyway to start: PS Reading Challenge

    Hello all!

I recently found the PS Reading Challenge while scrolling. I completed my local library’s summer reading challenge (won a prize for my full card bingo!) and since have wanted to do a longer reading challenge. The PS Reading Challenge 2026 is good timing. Is there anyway to involve others that might want to complete this challenge as well on PB? Or am I restricted to the in app reading challenges/personal list?

Thank you to anyone that has insight/how you complete outside reading challenges. 😌
