The queer joy in this book is absolutely palpable, as is a real love for baseball, which made it fun and delightful to read. I really cared about these characters and the sport they love because the author put so much into writing them with detail and care.

Four stars because, much like a baseball game, the middle dragged too much for my taste. Knocked it out of the park in the end though 🩷
