First of all, my name is Frances so I think that this book was extra personal. Unfortunate for me but in the best way because I really loved this book.
This book is both a coming-of-age story and an exploration on love in the modern day as Frances and Bobbi meet an older married couple, Nick and Melissa. It's definitely more character-driven than plot-driven and I absolutely loved it.
I found the characters to be so annoying and unbearable at times and I had to walk away because I found myself getting really angry at times. But when I walked away and thought about why I was suddenly angry, it was because I found myself and especially my own flaws a lot in these characters, which is why I said in the beginning that the fact that I shared a name with the narrator made this book (unfortunately but fortunately) a lot more personal to me.
