Loved the pace of this book. The different points of view are essential to the build up of the whodunit nature. I actually wasn’t sure who was the killer or victim, and the link between the characters was shocking. Great first book club read!

Daphne du Maurier is one of my favourite authors, I found the noise around this book was wide spread. I can see why now, the quality of writing is amazing, every single detail makes you so immersed. I found myself hating how weak the main female character seems but I think it’s fitting for the period. The ending was clever and it made me think long about it afterwards.
