Of all the vampire romance stories under the sun (or not? 🕶️), this one rules them all for me.
For those who like enemies-to-lovers, you have no idea what you’re in for.
Twilight is swimmies and training wheels. This story goes for the jugular.
I would sell my soul for a copy of this in print.

Asunder is what would happen if Studio Ghibli and Satan had a baby.
Confused? Same. But somehow it works.
This book delivers a completely fresh concept with worldbuilding that’s both whimsical and grim as hell (I don’t know how that combo functions, but it absolutely does). We’ve got strange and violent gods, moral grayness galore, genuinely interesting magic, and a prickly (but not insufferable) heroine who is actually older than 17.
Oh, and there’s romance. But the miscommunication trope is nowhere to be found because they are (gasp) adults who can talk things out. What a concept!
Yes, you should read this. The lack of hype around this book is actually kind of criminal.
