I attended my publisher’s funeral yesterday and got a bit of closure. I have to wait for a letter from her estate to revert the rights to my book back to me before I can seek another publisher or self-pub, so I’m waiting for that in order to make an official release.
I hope I can get rights back before the author events I had scheduled for May, but I also understand her family is going through a lot right now and legal matters take a while.
That being said, the original plan for this giveaway was to print ARCs with a Print-on-Demand company since my publisher normally did e-pubs ARCs.
So, I spent a lot of time last week learning basic formatting through trial-and-error and sent an order to the printer. These copies won’t have ISBNs, but I wanted to ensure my giveaway winners still got ARCs as promised. The book was literally less than a week out from this step and I put in the work to complete it.
There will still be a slight delay since the ARCs should arrive at my house anywhere from March 12th - 17th and then I’ll ship them to the winners with the giveaway/pre-order loot I prepared.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I’m not giving up.

If I really start thinking about it, this book had so many flaws. But I read it in one sitting and had a lot of fun. Sometimes what you need is exactly a predictable ya book.

I have this book in physical that I got second hand yeaaars ago. Since then, I've been trying to read it and never could get into it. I've just decided to give up, it gives me the ick. Also I heard that the author is problematic??

I went in thinking this was a regular thriller, but it was only a thriller in the same way that some people consider where the crawdads sing a thriller.
It was more of a homage to the beauty and the strenght of Nature, and a climate change "warning". The sense of doom was so clear throughout the book, and you could really sense it growing as the story progressed. It was also so eerie and atmospheric that I could really picture everything super clearly.
The mystery was really just there in the backdrop, and the "twists" were a bit disappointing in my opinion. I also wasnt really a fan of the main relationship in the book, it made me feel sort of icky.
Overall, I can't say I enjoyed reading the book, because it made me feel very unconfortable while and after reading. But I'm pretty sure that was the intention, and Im still very glad I read it.
