This is an extremely raw and honest look at cults from a survivor of not just the Children of God cult, but also the cult of the US military and her trauma of sexual assault while deployed. This hurt to listen to, not because it was bad, but because it was so horrific what she has gone through over the course of her life. Yet, she also has managed to accomplish great things despite what others have done to her. As someone who served in the Navy at about the same time she was in the Army, I remember being bombarded with SA awareness campaigns and information on where, how, and who to report to. But I had no idea that things were as bad as she stated. I think this should be required reading for students to learn the signs of brainwashing and also for men to see the effect current culture has.
