Boner-gate be damned.
LOL the dialogue is kinda stupid/cheesy at times but it works

Unfortunately (fortunately for my sanity) I will not be continuing with this series. I didn’t love book one and was willing to give book two a chance as this was her first romantasy, but it was severely lacking for me.
I will recognize that she tried to add more world building but it wasn’t done well and to say that this is epic romantasy?? Yeah that’s a no for me. Authors, please stop using traveling as a plot line because it’s so fucking boring especially when nothing happens and you wait till the last 20% to really pick up the plot. Everything is just told to you instead of shown and the questions don’t help. It guides you how to think rather than the writing being good enough to help you infer what’s happening.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Not every book needs smut and this book especially does not. It is the most cringy shit ever and the lack of foreplay is insane. If a man wrote this, I could maybe understand.
All the MMCs are written as a walking red flag and controlling and are just played off as them being protective and the FMCs eat it up. Not my cup of tea.
Love a multi pov book but when you introduce new characters and they’re written exactly the same as your old ones?? I got confused on who I was reading about. I understand these characters have a connection to each other but they’re allowed to have unique personalities LMFAO
The title on kindle legit says (slow burn) WHERE?? It was insta lust to the max, they were fucking within three days of knowing each other.
The positive reviews and people saying they cried are confusing me. Did I read the same book??

The extra star is for show Dean because book Dean is meh HAHA
I tired because I love Allie and Dean in the show but book wise?? Everything feels outdated and everything just leads back to sex and the characters get like 10% of depth. It’s as if this book was written with a penis HA
I swear we better get the “call Dean” scene tho!!

Still a solid book but doesn’t have me in a chokehold and frothing at the mouth and I think that’s because I’m still struggling with how quick I felt their romance progressed in book one. So while I still think their moments together are endearing, I’m still meh on it.
Yes each character is very complex and has a lot of growth and trust to build with each other. But it felt as if the lack of communication due to trust issues and then everytime they were able to talk, something would happen hindering them having a conversation was just to further the plot/conflict. I understand why it’s hard for them to divulge the information they learned off the bat, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying to read LMFAO
Maybe this is a me issue but Scarlett remind me of a very mild version of Tessa so it’s feeling a bit copy paste even though LOD was written first but I read it in backwards order so that’s one me LOL but I would probably still feel the same way if I read LOD and then Legacy series.
