For only being 300 pages, pacing was really good and didn’t feel like anything was dragging on.
Would give it a higher rating if the romance was a bit more developed but the magic system was so unique and I had a fun time! Definitely interested in reading book two when it releases but nothing I desperately need right now.

Okay… my toxic trait is that the ending felt lackluster asf and yet, I have already downloaded book 2.

i'm currently reading a book i'm heavily not interested in, but i don't make a habit of not finishing a series i already started, esp if i'm already in book 2.
so it made me wonder: what are your pettiest reasons why you dnf-ed a book?
