claims to be a satire but is full of repetitive, overwritten musings on feminism. i agree with a lot of what the author says, but she doesn’t trust the reader to understand nuance and insists on spelling out everything. there is very little plot and blake skips over the most intriguing aspect of the premise in favour of didactic political commentary. it’s like a substack think piece on feminism stretched to novel length with shreds of plot and character haphazardly thrown in

girl eats boy 🥩 horrors about female cannibals
horror novels written by women about girls and women with deadly appetites. despite the title there is sapphic lit here i just liked the pun. these books focus on human cannibals, i.e. not supernatural monsters like vampires, werewolves, etc. is the cannibalism a metaphor for love? rage? sex? all of the above!
