I see all of you going past your reading goals and I just want to say I’M JEALOUS!!!!

Like how do you all do it?😩

I just realized that for my 6-day vacation I brought four physical books two rereads (Vengeful and Outlander 470p and 850 pages respectively) and No Body No Crime and The Safekeep (both of which I have not started yet and want to finish before August 31st and September 8threspectively)

Additionally, I have my e-reader with 8 ebooks/ audiobooks readily available. I already started two novellas and a nonfiction book.

This might be too much to read in a week, but at the same time it definitely isn't because I'm very much a mood reader.

How many books do you bring on vacation/do you have an e-reader and leave physical books at home like a sane person?

I'm thinking of changing my username to include one nickname but if I translate it to English is weird. The nickname is in Portuguese, Pintainho, but translated literally means Chick, an animal I know, but the story behind is funny and I find it cute. Also thinking about using my real name. It's not I don't like it, I just normally prefer using Minnie. Anyway, I wanted to ask what's the meaning behind your username? Hello, it's my birthday, and I've received coupons from Kobo and Bookoutlet. 95% of the books I read are on my e-reader through my library. I'm hesitant to buy books because I fear I may not like them, so I prefer library copies. Recently, I have been trying to grow my physical collection. Since I have these coupons, I'd love to get books that I'd want to read. I find it hard to describe my tastes, but here are some books I've liked recently

• The Caretaker (I'm new to horror but found this engaging)
• My Husband by Maud Ventura (I love reading about characters that are a little bit unhinged; Julie Chan is Dead and Yesteryear fall into this category too)
• Vicious by V. E. Schwab (I like morally grey characters)
• The Strange Case of Jane O (Psychological thrillers)

So to summarize, I'm looking for psychological books where you follow a character and get to be in their mind. In terms of genre, I like speculative fiction & sci-fi (having to do with technology/the future, not aliens), and thrillers.
