Better than the first book in a lot of ways, and definitely an enjoyable read. A few bits that made me groan a bit, but I fell in love with some characters I didn’t expect to and it was good to see returning faces that helped make their lives feel real. Good worldbuilding, too. And y’know. We all need a Raptor.

Unfortunately not the book I was hoping it would be, but entertaining for a plane ride. There were some good references to Disney classics, but a lot that made no sense and a lot of missed opportunities. The ending felt rushed and too much like a sequel setup. But I enjoyed the team-up of the two main characters and the magic of the city it was set in.

My favourite Ruby Dixon book so far. I’ve been roped into the world building and characters despite several days of jetlag and the ending was immensely satisfying and exactly what I crossed my fingers for. Also, very hot.

Despite a deep-seated dislike of the 2nd person, the payoff on that change made it really worth it. And I enjoyed going full on wall of crazy trying to figure out what was going on with the unreliable narrator.
