“She is a peacock in everything but beauty,” is an A+ insult.

To be fair, I started with the 11th book in the series. But I don’t know that they really connect in a meaningful way.
A nosy girl runs a marathon, someone dies, and then she can’t mind her own business until the mystery is solved. And also she owns a cafe but only ever refers to it by full name - “Death by Coffee.” Branding the book series sure, but it was annoying to constantly read.

This is a middle grade ghost story, but it honestly didn’t feel too juvenile to enjoy as an adult. It was very predictable but I don’t want to fault that knowing the intended audience.

Listened to the audiobook on a commute to work.
I liked the tone a lot and it was good quirky little story.
