disturbing, disgusting, uncomfortable, weird, and insanely well executed. anytime i thought i understood what was going on, i didn’t. what an interesting way to show the lengths someone would go to fit into a “trad-wife” mold.

this was just like so my niche so i really loved it. as someone studying themed experience design, i LOVEDDDD jamie and them being a haunter, absolutely obsessed. i loved their relationship with edgar and how both characters grew throughout the story. the nonbinary representation was beautifully written and i truly enjoyed reading about jaime’s journey. not to mention those spicy scenes were some of the most beautifully written spicy scenes ive ever read! the reason it was only 4.5 stars and not 5 is just because it felt a bit repetitive at times since there were very low stakes. i truly enjoyed it though, perfect to feel some halloween fun during pride month

an extremely cozy, whimsical, and steamy novel perfect for some halloween time vibes all year round! if there’s one thing about me it’s that i absolutely eat up any stories about witches so when i saw the blurb for this book i knew i had to pick it up.
i loved the grumpy x sunshine dynamic of rosie & jack. i felt they both perfectly matched each other and their story was well executed. i loved the magic system and the overall concept of having to break a curse by summoning a ghost, it was equal parts mysterious as it was funny.
there were some repetitive bits in this book, like the constant explanation of the kiss bond. i also felt like rosie was constantly accounting jack’s feelings to the kiss bond to the point where it felt dismissive at times. i am also not a huge spice girl so i felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of spice, but if that’s something you’re into than you’re in luck ;) i totally wasn’t expecting it from the description.
overall, i’m glad i picked this book up and i think it would be a really fun for anyone who loves witchy, cozy, and spicy vibes! thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

what a delightful and whimsical book! i love magical realism and i love sapphic stories so this was just absolutely made for me. this book felt like a love letter to all theater kids past, present, and future which i absolutely loved. the angst of the enemies-to-lovers was executed perfectly and resolved itself well at the end of the story. i loved priscilla and marlowe as characters, each offering a unique perspective on how high school theater can impact your future. i loved the whole premise of travelling through time to find your missing high school theater teacher, i think it is equally as heartfelt as it is ridiculous and im obsessed!
my main gripe with the book, which keeps it from being 5 stars is the multiverse aspects of the plot. i felt confused at times when they were interacting with themselves in other timelines without any repercussions, often times it felt like the "other" versions of themselves did not even seem phased at all by the situation. i also felt like the plot sort of got a little convoluted halfway through the book because of the different destinations they were visiting as well as their search for dallas.
overall, a very well-written and engaging book that i truly enjoyed reading! i feel there is not enough sapphic stories but especially dual-POV sapphic stories, so i enjoyed this one tremendously!!
thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book!
