a couple months ago, i got in an argument with my family. it wasn’t really an argument but more of a criticism of my life. i had been working two jobs at the time, with no real free time, but i was happy. they said i need to sort out my priorties because there’s no way i could possibly live happily like that. i found this assessment of my life disturbing, as i truly love my career. i live and breathe to go to work everyday, and see the smile on guests faces. if i had to live my life without that, it would be a truly unhappy life.
reading about keiko’s life kind of felt like looking into a mirror and seeing myself reflected back at me. a lot of the reviews i see about this book called it “weird” and called her “off putting”, but i see her and i understand her. this book is for everyone who cares so much about something that nobody else thinks is worth caring about. it’s for “weird” girls with “weird interests” that never felt like they had the manual for life. this book was truly just a hug from someone letting us we aren’t alone, even if the world wants us to believe we are. can’t believe such a short and sweet book, can hold such a powerful message.

I am an audiobook lover due to traveling hours daily for work. I average around 6-10 a month which can be very expensive! Give me all your hacks, tips, tricks, etc.
I currently use Spotify but that 10 hours a month kills me every time! I have an Everand and Audible subscription. I also use Libby and Hoopla from my local and surrounding libraries. Others have mentioned the audiobooks on Kindle Unlimited, but I never find anything that I like. Help a girl out!!

Her sister getting so excited without even knowing anything about the man just goes to show how most things in life are about following the status quo. If you "fit" in, people are happy.

Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).

as an autistic person who’s job is related to their special interest this book is so strangely relatable

Hi everyone,
I am a bit indecisive on what I want to read at the moment so I thought it would be fun to do a week of short books. I am planning on reading one short book a day for a week and would love some suggestions of books between 100-250 pages. I also want to use it as an opportunity to try more genres. I usually read fantasy but am open to any genre.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!!
