DNF @ 33% A cute and interesting premise, but I just could not look past the biphobic comment made, that was, according to other readers not challenged later on in the book, which is unfortunate. Saying a “lesbians worst nightmare” is their bi ex moving on with a man is not it. This topic could have been explored in a more meaningful way by addressing the issue with this way of thinking, but to include it and not do that is a major oversight. On top of this, the inclusion of a transphobic joke? WHY!?

Thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review. Sadly I had to DNF this one at 16%. The prose was just not working for me, so I could not get into the story. If the premise sounds like something you might enjoy though, you should check it out.

Thank you infinitely to PRH international for sending me this eARC!! This is definitely a prime contender for my favourite read of 2025. I absolutely adored Gabe Cole Novoa’s previous books but These Vengeful Gods has blown me away! The prose, the incredible cast of characters and the vengeance created such an impactful and engrossing experience! I cannot recommend this book enough, so do yourself a massive favour and check it out when it is released - you won’t regret it!!
