  • Books are getting more and more digestible

I’ve recently noticed that newer books are easier too read. The metaphors are obvious, the descriptions short and everything is laid out for you, giving the reader no need to THINK and INTROSPECT on what they are reading. Don’t get me wrong I am happy people are reading and that publishing is accessible to everyone! Despite this I feel as though books are getting dulled down at an ad nauseam. Am I the only one noticing this??

I’ve been enjoying reading this book a lot so far! It’s dense with descriptors and metaphors. I miss books like this. Unfortunately this reminds me that lots of modern books are dulled down, made easy too read and understand at an ad nauseam rate. While I’m glad people are reading, I just wish that the publishing industry would stop knocking down the intelligence of books too make them more digestible
