and what of the emotional turmoil on my mortal soul? did you consider this, alexandria? did your long game involve the reckless abandon with which you would handle my delicate sensibilities? buyer beware !! this comedic and seemingly lighthearted tale is wrought with many a tortured love story! it is impeccably tender and at times down right devastating! rarely am i left reeling in such a way after reading a sapphic romance novel about a demon and the desperate woman with whom she sparks a deal! so rarely in fact that it’s only occurred on this one occasion! congratulations, alexandria! one of one! i am wrecked! be proud!

i am actually giddy over this fucking monster romance bro this felt like zootopia (?) vibes of creatures coexisting except they’re all different species of monsters in an office building and not animals in a police station (i haven’t watched the movie in a while, let my analogy serve its purpose without dissecting it, will you?) magnus the minotaur is perfect and i will be accepting zero criticism on this matter matthew wardell you are my god

every once in a while you should take a chance on a book outside of your genre & sometimes you will be pleasantly surprised i listened to the audiobook and ray porter honestly made what would’ve been a struggle of a book for me turn into one of my favs of all time i HIGHLY recommend doing the audio if you’re considering this read, my sister (a notorious audio hater) LOVED it also if you feel intimidated by Big Brain Science type of books just know that the science is only like 25% important imo and the storyline makes up for the rest
