So firstly, shoutout @jexratt for the recommendation. 💜 Originally I think this came up in the context of me looking for recs of true and proper love triangles where it’s not clear which person the FMC should pick. This… was sort of that, but not really what I had in mind at the time. I think Greer was pretty firmly always going to pick Ash (if this were a monogamous sort of situation), but it was pretty clear this would become a triad (both within the narrative and also based on what I know of the books overall.) And I mean, this is as triangle as it gets. Zero complaints from me.

Sierra Simone is very talented at her craft. My only other experience with her books was “Priest” and “Sinner” — both of which I enjoyed. I think Simone is able to handle all of the taboo stuff with care, while creating characters with depth and vulnerability that allows for really well executed (and hot) sex scenes, with none of the somewhat juvenile quality that sometimes comes with the genre. And thank goodness. No FMCs who cum immediately from a single touch in my alt universe president x vice president x OC fanfiction, tyvm.

I recommend this if you are:

• looking for a true threesome / MFM bisexual triad
• looking for some dom/sub play
• wanting some light plot (with your porn) involving fictional geopolitics and weird / tragic family backstory
• not terribly icked by the idea of a 26 year old making out with a 16 year old (unknowingly) and a tiny bit of age gap / underage content
