incredibly captivating, does an incredible job of conveying the devastation and uncertainty of us as outsiders looking in. i haven't looked up anything about the trial beforehand to have a little bit of the same experience of things being uncovered bit by bit

This is the problem with taking long to complete a series, I freaking forgot the whole terminology and events 😮💨.

liked the balance this struck between being obviously horrifying and darkly funny - the dialogues in this were fantastic.

unfortunately 'James' left me a bit disappointed but with this one I was hooked pretty much immediately. So I'm glad I picked up another Everett so soon

of course this shines a light on the many, many obstacles that can tank a film even before production on it has begun, but in many chapters it also read as a history of male egos making things worse or ruining them entirely lmao. mind-boggling how much $$$ was sunk for films that did not enrich the culture or anyone's lives, least of all the people's working on them.
very well-researched and fun to read with plenty of references to keep going down the rabbit hole if you're so inclined.
