Wow. Epic to me. I think the start was a bit slow which is honestly fine with me for a book like this to set everything up. The writing was great- so descriptive I felt like I really could visualize everything.
I’m having a hard time expressing everything I think about the book because the ending (last 80ish pages) was so rough- I was ugly crying. Leni and her mom’s relationship was both tragic and beautiful and something I enjoyed throughout the book. Devastating & triumphant would be two words for this book. Ugh.

Hahaha honestly yeah? This was so random but in a good way where I was completely along for the ride and enjoying it! The audiobook hit? I don’t normally like audiobooks thatttt much but yeah I’d recommend this! Boarding school drama, lots of character, pov switch mayhem, secrets, & a cute ending.
My only issue is I hate all the references to today’s pop culture 🫠 Like I get it. But no. I don’t want to hear about TikTok and Taylor Swift. But again!! The books setting called for this so fineeee (I guess).

Another book in the series that I read super fast.. shocker! I haven't read a Will Trent book in probably over 6 months & I forgot how they rope you in pretty early on. Per usual, the subject matter is tough to read, graphic, detailed, etc. So trigger warning always for her books. But, the story is so well thought out and hooks you but not in a way where you JUST want to know who the "bad guy" is. You want to keep reading about the investigative work. You want to continue reading about the characters interactions- because yes- the characters in the book are dynamic/complex & are a huge part of why I continue to read the series. The writing is witty & enjoyable even though your reading about really really tough topics. kk that's it from me!
