Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).

A page turner that kept me engaged but the character tropes are fairly basic (helpless damsel who realizes she's the strongest of them all and a king who is broody and emotionally detached until her). I thought the book ended very suddenly ... Not sure if I'll finish the series but it was fun to read!

I love the character development in this book. They're all very complex and because the book is so long, you really get to know them. I like Shannon's focus on child birth, whose details are usually skipped in other books and pop there's a baby. It'll be hard to read other books and have the default gender for characters to be men 😢
