This book makes you feel for the main character throughout. There's an air of mystery about it, which if you listen to the audiobook, the narrator does a great job bringing this out. There are also things that happen that I didn't see coming, which is always welcome. If you're into books about crazy familial relationships or books about the early tech world, I'd suggest you give this one a try.

This book, wrapped up in relationships, family & business, still has a lot to say about racism/bigotry. The romance side of this book wasn't a surprise, but I did like the way the author approached the racism aspect in a way that seemed plausible. This is a good read, especially for those who want to get a feel for what it feels like to be Muslim in current times. This book is great insight into how a woman changes throughout time-her thoughts, her feelings, her demeanor. The main character in this work is faced with extenuating circumstances that most won't endure, but can sympathize with. I loved how this character matured as time went on. While I thought this would be a novel about an odd relationship, it was so much more than that. I recommend for those who are curious about marriage with conjoined twins, 1800s southern history, and how women change over time.

This quick read has so much to say about so many things-nature, technology, relationships, the environment, etc., and it's done in such a beautiful way. In addition, the illustrations add so much more to this well written story. There are some things about nature it addresses that are true, but kind of bring the book down for me, which is why I can't give it a full 5 stars. However, it's a definite recommend!
