This was a uniquely powerful story for me (I’m not sure every reader would relate in the same way). I felt like I sank into the main character’s life and thoughts and saw through her eyes.
It was nostalgic and forced me to think through my own life and memories while thinking through hers. The best description I have is it reminded me of getting EMDR (for anyone who can relate).
It’s like every scene you’re experiencing for the first time but you know you’ve been here/ seen that. By the end, on the last page, I was crying along with her but had no idea why.
