I have to admit I usually have a hard time getting into translated Japanese fiction because of this kind of typical distance between the character and the narrator and the reader that I find is pretty common. But this one has me immediately IN it and I’m very much invested already

I really wanna start this book for the spring season!!! I read the blurb and this is a must-read!🙂↕️ And omg the little calico cats at the beginning of every chapter🥹😍 the book is gorgeous , i feel like that’s that initially drew me to pick this book 🫣 -> Also i see there is a playlist? should i follow it? i usually don’t use book playlist 🙈 I might read this at the same time as Red White & Royal Blue 🌸

So this is a story that I really love and this is my first time reading the officially translated version. The translation wasn’t the best at times. But I still enjoyed the story. I feel like fan translations actually are better sometimes tho haha also, I’ve read this before, but my entry into the story was the drama and I really kind of appreciate how they changed the timeline in the drama. I think it worked really well to go back to the past and have all the past events happen and then go back to the future. Instead of going back back-and-forth like it does in the novel. But what can I say? I really love these characters and the story is really well put together.
