I get quite a few scammers in my email spam folder wanting me to pay for book reviews.
Today, one of them stopped me in my tracks saying that editorial reviews make books trustworthy and if a book doesn't have them it's not a good look. Huh? I never really pay attention to these.
So, do editorial reviews influence you to pick up a book or deem it trustworthy?
Editorial reviews are the quotes by other authors you'll see on a book cover. Or the praise by other authors, media outlets or influencers inside the book saying how great it is.

Can someone who liked this book let me know: if I am not enjoying it by page 70, should I give up or does it change materially later on? I know I havenât even gotten to any of the really sad stuff yet but Iâm finding the narrative voice very clinical and cruel.
