I really wanted to love this one and I might come back to it later, but for now, P.S. You’re the Worst is heading to the DNF graveyard. I rarely DNF books, but I’ve been trying to give myself permission to pause when something’s not clicking—especially if it might just be a case of bad timing. I struggled a bit with the heavy millennial speak, but to be fair, I’d just spent a bunch of time knee-deep in Gen Alpha slang, so literally everything was annoying me. Going to wait until the full release and give it another try with a fresh mindset!

Again, I am not the intended audience for this series but I thought that Knife’s Edge was far more compelling than Compass South. However the ending being a cliffhanger of sorts I didn’t really enjoy

For my first read of 2025, Brownstone was a touching story about familial love that transcended language barriers. The artwork is stunning, thanks to Mar Julia and really helped capture summer of 1995.

I am not the intended reader for this book since it’s for tweens and I’m in my mid 20s. I think the sense of adventure was there though! I really enjoyed that part but there just isn’t a whole lot of substance for such a fast moving plot
