I have been thinking about books and movies that pair well together like cheeses and wines. I only have a couple of pairs so far, but it's fun to think about how different types of media can convey the same themes and styles.

So far I have:

• Paradise Logic by Sophie Kemp and Greener Grass by Dawn Luebbe and Jocelyn DeBoer. Both have surreal/fantastical elements, are commentaries on misogyny and heteronormative relationships, and bright vivid aesthetics

• Cassandra at the Wedding by Dorothy Baker and Dead Ringers by David Cronenberg. Both are about twins with a focus on identity and selfhood issues, both are extremely tense and stressful, and both feature the aftermath of an overdose
