Getting sick of this insta love ngl â also, why are they talking like theyâre both quote generators? No one talks that way!!! Lastly, I feel like the book is trying so hard to be whimsical, like⊠đâ

Not really liking the insta-love so far, but the overall concept and the descriptions of Hanaâs magical world is intriguing.

This is one of the books Iâm unsure how to make a review of â but I think I will always remember the rage and heartbreak I felt while reading it. Itâs my introduction to Han Kangâs works, and Iâm glad I read it first before her others. While I think it would have been better if Iâd brushed up on history to understand the context better, I would not have known about the Gwangju Uprising at all had I not decided to pick this up.
I loved the multiple perspectives (especially the creative choice in Chapter 2), and how they were all tied together, eventually circling back to really drive home the emotional weight.

The third chapter while long. Just delivered some of the most gripping writing. âAfter you died I couldnât hold a funeral, so my life became a funeralâ

Speechless! This was such a ride. While it dragged at times, I was screaming IRL towards the end. Epic.
