The story (the narrative) is making more sense now. And holy fucking shirtballs, is this a perfectly timely story. A needed story. Probably, by the time I finish, my favorite story.

Someone on the club forum asked the other day about when two different pieces of media remind you of each other in strange ways, and wow, reading this book while watching Cloudward, Ho! at the same time is an excellent example. The plots have almost nothing to do with each other, but the themes and motifs and throughlines are pretty fucking similar. Wow. Wow wow wow.

As a chronically ill nerd with an academic interest in fairy tales, myths, legends, medieval women's history, Arthuriana, and the linguistics of the French word L'histoire, alix e harrow continues to delight and surprise me with her absolute genius. Thank you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
