It was way better than I expected it to be. Mainly because it’s quite a wholesome read with a lot of charming characters. Besides, the darker utopian part of the story was written in a way which would be easy for kids to grasp. However, the structure and plot in this are practically non-existent. If you really think about it, you know everything that’s going to happen from the very early chapters and then there’s no real ‘story’ - just life and waiting for the inevitable. Thus, about 2/3 of the book don’t really do anything other than describing an emotional moment here and there. It’s definitely a good book for the kids as it can teach them a lot but for me personally there was nothing that unique/exciting to actually remember it
