I wish I had read it slowly like poetry rather than listening to it.

It's more a series of vignettes than a story which I didn't realize going into it but the prose are lovely.

  • On no, it's not just books!

I have a lot of books. A ton of ebooks but also between 1000 and 1500 physical books, and I keep adding to those because I like to support local, independent bookstores. I got to them, I buy books, journals, pens, whatever.

Well...I also like to have a glass of wine now and again, and I like to support small, family-owned wineries and wine bars. So I've joined a few wine clubs, through which I have regular pickups of wine. I've known for a while that I'm accumulating the wine much faster than I'm drinking it. I'm just not a very heavy drinker as a rule. So, when I get new wine I just stash and figure I'll get to it eventually.

I'm cleaning up today and decided to finally count the wine bottles and...I have 62 bottles of wine. I'll never drink all that. I'm compiling a list of people to give things to.

    I promise I'm not a hoarder!

Besides books, what do you all, er...accumulate?

I really enjoyed this and I usually have a hard time with fantasy or magic, tending to sticto historical fiction, etc.

The characters individually are interesting, funny, serious, compelling and teh way they interact with eachother is the best! The premise of God's is neat.

I love how effortlessly being lgbtq+, and differently abled is woven into the story.

I was not sure I'd like this and then I loved it!

The main character is gritty the people around her are equally capable but all in different ways. I love how they develop and work together.

The dark academia backdrop is really cool and has me googling New Haven left and right.

Read the TW definitely a scene at the beginning that shocked me and Im not entirely sure its necessary, but I still loved this book.

This book was really beautiful and tragic. It made me think about friendship, mother-daughter relationships, the way politics can change so quickly, and how much of a privledge it is to "not care about politics". It inspired me to start researching and reading more about the history of Iran.

I enjoyed this book alot I found myself really wondering how it was all going to tie together when there was less than 20% of the book left but somehow it did and I thought it was emotional and beautiful and I was sad it was over.

I liked it because I liked the first book but I really struggled with all of the characters being separated and not interacting. I think I adore the characters and am not all that compelled by the plot..
