I’m not one to write a review immediately after finishing a book past 1 a.m… but this book, man… I haven’t cried like this since reading The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. This book had me in a chokehold. Tierney Page… what the actual heck?! I did NOT need this kind of emotional damage at 1 a.m. This book is going to require 1–2 business days of healing. I had to pause between pages to catch myself so I didn’t wake my family up with my loud sniffling.

This book deserves, no, REQUIRES a movie! It’s as emotional as what you get from The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and Titanic. An absolute banger, as promised! Speaking of which, it was also spicy. 🤭 I can do without the spice, but if that’s your thing, you’ll enjoy this and the yearning between Chase and Summer.

Chase and Summer are neighbors and friends who lean on each other through dark days and sleepless nights. Summer is forced to run away from home because of her abusive dad. Ten years later, she returns to her small coastal town to tie up loose ends after he passes away. She thought it would be business as usual until she runs into Chase.

I wanted to scream at Summer and tell her she didn’t deserve Chase. She fumbled that saint from the start. She may have had a rough go at life, especially with her abusive pig of a dad, but dang, girl… insert Cardi B eye meme 👀 How could you waste even a second without Chase?! That alone should be a sin! And then there’s the cliffhanger Tierney left me on. She literally put me on a cliff and left me to hang. 😭 I did NOT expect that twist of an ending and I absolutely NEED MORE!! There are a few trigger warnings, so be sure to check that out before reading!
