Perfection. No notes. I read it on an airplane and it had me trying to surreptitiously wipe tears away before the random man sitting next to me so. Just all of the heartwarming family feels.

Five Stars! The premise of rival sapphic novelists falling in love drew me in, and the book delivered on the promise of the premise. This book was my favorite of the Belvoir’s Library trilogy — Vasti really blew me away with this one. Not only do we get to see a deeper, more emotional side to a character that has been on the sidelines in the previous two books, but we also get to experience such a sweet, satisfying love story. (With a gothic mansion, ghosts, a murder, bats, and the best dog ever) This story is really a story of love winning out over fear, and the happily ever after is so satisfying! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. My review is honest and left voluntarily

It was interesting enough that I finished it, and I did like Cerebus. But the worldbuilding and the history of Lyra’s curse had so many things that just didn’t make sense to me

Despite some weaknesses in worldbuilding and character development, I really enjoyed this one. Definitely will be reading the sequel.

I was wondering if there was a way to include a description when adding a book to a list. Like an annotation of why it fits the list
