I haven't felt present in my own life in years. After a discussion with my fiancée, we agreed we could try to use books to get rid of this brainfog. (And i guess, depersonalisation, at least in my case)

Do you guys have any experience with doing this? Intentionally or unintentionally. If so, will any sort of book do? I figured its best to put phones aside and stimulate the mind.. and most of all, just enjoy each other's company. Do you believe listening will also help? My fiancée likes to read for me.

I know it might not help at all, but I do at least wish to try.

I absolutely adore autumn. It is my favorite season, winter comes right behind its back 😆 I decided to challenge myself and prepared a tbr list for september (planning is half of success 😆) decided to share here so maybe horror lovers like me will benefit from the list (or people who want to get out from their comfort zone)

I’m trying to think ahead a little bit for 2027 and I don’t think I’m going to be reading with a number in mind (gasp). Normally I set a number goal I know I can reach and then beat that number naturally without stressing. Just something to keep me going.

Next year, I’m planning on putting the titles of every unread book on my shelves in a jar so I can pick 2-3 per month to read. This way I still have plenty of room to read where the mood (or read along) takes me. My goal is not to finish the whole jar this year, but if I do that’s an added bonus. I’m going to keep going until it’s empty either way.

I plan on allowing myself to skip each title only once. If the title comes up again and I still don’t want to read it, it’s getting donated!

Hi everyone, I would love to know what your favourite “classic” is and why. Like what made you love the book and why should we read it or what did it move and stir inside you that you cannot forget about it. ✨ I love reading classics and I love finding out what people associate with them. Because the human condition is a pretty interesting thing.
