i sometimes have a hard time with retelling because i tend to compare it with the original, but oh my goodness this was so good! I loved the dynamic and banter between Oliver and Darcy and while some aspects were the same this retelling had some fresh takes that i really enjoyed! honestly it made me giddy and i would love a movie following this retelling 😍 also the historical note at the end was something i also appreciated.

While this was very infuriating I appreciated how educational it was and that Kennedy felt compelled to share Marty’s story. Even though the main premise was the history of the rape kit and who ultimately deserves credit, i also enjoyed the other vast amount of topics surrounding rape culture and the obstacles/progress that has been made. I thought it was very brave of Kennedy to include her experiences as well. Very educational and worth a read!

the book cover drew me in! the story itself was entertaining and i enjoyed the characters as well as the dynamic between Celeste and Raiden. An interesting retelling of the little mermaid 🧜🏼‍♀️

I went in with zero expectations, which made my experience more enjoyable! Bury Your Gays perfectly balanced horror with emotional depth. I really enjoyed Misha’s character, especially with the past and present timelines it created a well rounded character arc. The plot was very well executed and the climax was chefs kiss This book definitely kept me on my toes and I can’t recommend it enough!

I liked that it reminded me of The Talented Mr. Ripley, but aside from that it just felt a little too predictable and underwhelming

The Good House was very entertaining! The setting added significant depth and ambience to the overall narrative. I was particularly drawn to Angela's character and appreciated watching her evolution throughout the story, especially as she grappled with her grief. My feelings about Corey were a bit mixed. I found him to be annoying at times. The ending delivered a twist that initially surprised me, but ultimately left me feeling satisfied. So far I’ve enjoyed Due’s books and hope to continue reading more of her work!

i was immediately sucked in! i really enjoyed the magic system and am curious to see how it unfolds throughout the series. I also enjoyed the mystery element that was woven in throughout and the dual POV chapters was a nice touch!
